This will be your main prescription data entry module and will handle the issuing, tracking and repeat dates of prescriptions. All labels and/or National Benefit forms are printed at this stage. For network environments, users are assigned to every individual prescription. This product comes standard as a fully networkable package. Since this is the main data entry screen, all the necessary validation, pricing and protocol checks are in full operation. User can usually perform this screen with the utmost confidence.
The repeat module will perform as efficiently as the Prescriptions module. Users will not normally have to change of modify any data and the system will alert users if there is the minutest of change whether in price, drug/item, doctor, protocol, etc. Users will also be allowed to print a reminder list of all patients due for repeats for a period along with mailing labels with which you can use to mail your reminders out. We have discovered that pharmacies lose large sums of revenue simply because they are not sufficiently equipped to maintain contact/track these patients, hence the facility provided by PHARMACY CONTROLLER.
Users are also able to monitor the prescription history of a particular doctor whose patients are frequent patrons of your pharmacy. Patient allergy codes are also used in protecting against those drugs being prescribed. An efficient counter sales module is also provided. This facility will allow users at POS positions to enter sales and print receipts on your receipt printer and update inventory on line. This can be configured to work best with your current hardware and/or your business' method of operation and can even be linked to your drug file. Prescription drugs will be restricted at POS positions.
The Drug Service in Barbados currently distributes a diskette containing all updated benefit/formulary drugs. If your country has a similar facility, these drugs can be added to your current list of Benefit drugs and become active in your daily Drugs file. This process is optional to the licensed owner(s) of Pharmacy Controller and can be carried out on-line by INFOSYS over your phone line.
Please note that this process was originally intended to be performed by the users of the package but we have no guarantee that the file structures on the National Drug Service diskette will be of a compatible standard. If the file structure changes at some point, users WILL encounter some difficulty when updating their Drugs file. Certain modifications will be required to the Drugs file to facilitate the update process.
